- Apr-Dec 2016: Erasmus+ trainee working on the project "In vitro evaluation of the toxicity induced by cyanobacterial toxins in human airway epithelial cells" as a part of her diploma thesis work at Department of Physiology and Biochemistry of Animals, Ernst Moritz Arndt University. - Aug 3, 2015 - Sep 11, 2015: Worked as an intern at RECETOX. At that time, Barbara was a visiting Master's Student from Ernst Moritz Arndt University (Greifswald, Germany), M.Sc. candidate, Molecular Biology and Physiology Major, and she was completing a 6-week practical internship, which was a mandatory part of her educational curriculum. Barbara was working in our lab with normal and myc-transformed rat liver epithelial cells, learning different in vitro methods to characterize and evaluate differences in their proliferation, cell-cell communication, adhesion & spreading, 3D spheroid formation and growth.
